RSGB Contest Results May UHF 2017
v4.145 by G4CLA

In the Open section the status quo is retained with Colchester Radio Amateurs, M1CRO/P  winning six out of the seven bands for which any entry was received, Parallel Lines CG again win on 432MHz.

South Birmingham Radio Society retain their second place from last year in the Open Section but watch out as both Five Bells and the Luton VHF Group made significant gains on the top two entrants.

The overall winner in the Single Operator Fixed section was John, G3XDY.  John wins five of the six bands the only exception being 432MHz which this year Richard, GD8EXI wins.

G4LDR retains second place overall in the Single Fixed section.

Overall participation fell a little on the high of 2016 with many stations commenting on the low numbers of UK stations QRV.

Well done to everyone who braved the May weather and congratulations to the certificate winners.

The autumn UHF multi-band contest takes place on 7-8 October this year so plenty of time to plan especially for those higher bands..
